T-96 Sue Bell Memorial Ride

Today in beautiful sunny Townsville, approximately 300 cyclists honoured the memory of Sue Bell in a controlled 30km ride from the new Jezzine Barracks to Thuringowa and back along Ross River Road. Sue died tragically in an accident and will always be remembered as a passionate advocate for cycling.

To all those who took part, to the organisers (Rebecca et al), the Police and the dignitaries who attended including Townsville MP John Hathaway many thanks.

I am sure Sue would have been impressed.

Being the media tart that I am I have taken the liberty of posting a picture of John and I.

Thanks for attending John & I hope your backside recovers!

We appreciate your support to the Townsville cyclists and more broadly throughout Queensland.

Townsville MP John Hathaway joined us MAMILs for the Sue Bell Memorial Ride.

Generous donation: feeling humble

How humble I felt this morning when I did my early morning 'donations' check. Very.

Local MP Mr John Hathaway donated very generously to my Smiling for Smiddy ride this morning.

Check out John's ongoing commitment to Townsville and northern Queensland.

His donation means that there is almost $3000 been raised to date.

So many thanks to my wonderful network of supporters.

This donation also makes me more determined to achieve my goals and repay the faith people have in me.

T- 121 Becoming a bike commuter

Finally lashed out & purchased a comfortable 'commuter' bike..and joined the ranks who get to the  factory via the bike paths...14 kms of delightful river paths, the TSV golf course, tree lined parks & the odd road crossing.

Definitely an easy way to get to work and excellent way to de-stress as I trundle home. Thanks to the BNG shop for supplying my new Merida.....the T1 is even the same colours as my beloved but heart breaking Richmond Tigers.

Rossco's Ride Tribe

Been a good week of donations..now have 14 people in Rossco's Ride Tribe.

Thanks Andrew, Camilla, Charmaine, Peter, Brett and Lizzie...great to see my old friends have come through again.

If you wish to donate & become a tribe member, please go the following link & give what you can..
